What is a grommet and when is it used?
A grommet is an endless loop of wire rope, often used for heavy or offshore lifts where a compact, high-capacity sling is needed. Our team can advise if a grommet suits your job.
How should wire rope slings be handled to avoid damage?
Avoid kinking, crushing or bending the rope tightly around small diameters. Use thimbles, shackles or packing where the sling passes over edges or pins.
How long can I hire it for?
Daily, weekly or long-term hire. Tell us your dates when you request a Quote and we will price the period that suits the job.
Does it come inspected and certified?
Yes. Every item is inspected and tagged by our team before it leaves the yard, and the current certificate goes with it.
Can you deliver to site?
We deliver nationwide from our branches in South Australia and the Northern Territory (Regency Park, Whyalla and Darwin), or you can collect from your nearest branch.
Not sure which size or type you need?
