Safety Pin Shackles

Safety pin shackles use a bolt, nut and split pin so the pin cannot unscrew under movement. They are hired for long-term or semi-permanent rigging, lifts where the pin may rotate, and critical lifts on construction and mining sites.

FAQs

Questions, answered

Can't see your question?
Call our team on 08 7089 8335.

Why choose a safety pin shackle?

The nut and split pin lock the pin in place, so it cannot loosen if the load or sling moves or rotates. That makes it the safer choice for rigging left in place.

Can the split pin be reused?

Split pins should be replaced with new ones rather than straightened and reused. Ask our team for spares with your hire.

How long can I hire it for?

Daily, weekly or long-term hire. Tell us your dates when you request a Quote and we will price the period that suits the job.

Does it come inspected and certified?

Yes. Every item is inspected and tagged by our team before it leaves the yard, and the current certificate goes with it.

Can you deliver to site?

We deliver nationwide from our branches in South Australia and the Northern Territory (Regency Park, Whyalla and Darwin), or you can collect from your nearest branch.

Not sure which size or type you need?

Send us the load, the lift and the site conditions. Our team will recommend the right equipment and include it in your Quote.
